The magical Stratoni,

built at an altitude of 200m. in an evergreen valley, is a costal settlement with a population of 1174 residents.

It faces Mount Athos by forming a natural amphitheatre with the vast gulf of Acanthus.

An ancient heroic monument discovered in the area from the first century BC, which features impressive statues, tombstones, vessels etc., is evident of the booming Stratonikia location.

From that site, two eminent statues, a male and a female, are exposed at the Polygyros museum.

Stratoni has a rich cultural tradition continued today by the local people through numerous cultural events.
